# Closes the port; does not treat event.data as the server

Lesson 7 completed. The learner can separate transfer (this page loses `port2`) from `close` (the pair you still hold is disconnected), and can treat `event.data` as a clone that can lie after an origin check. The window/iframe + port surface of issue #15 is now a floor. Remaining mission item: a design-review drill if they want one.
