# Starting point: FE engineer, clone-as-message already known

Learner is a frontend engineer with Web Workers (including messaging-cost: structured clone default, transfer, `DataCloneError` for functions/DOM), BroadcastChannel (same algorithm, no transfer list), and IndexedDB (stored values are structured-clone shaped) complete in this repo. Goal (issue #13) is durable judgment for the **algorithm itself** and **`structuredClone()`** — not another worker or pub/sub tutorial. Do not re-teach `postMessage` or workers from zero. First ZPD lesson: place structured clone on the **copy/serialize spectrum** (shallow / JSON / structured clone / transfer / custom serializer) and practice choose/reject, including when the platform already clones for you.
